Gas inserts are installed into existing wood fireplaces. Ranging from contemporary to traditional, modern gas inserts are a great alternative to open hearth applications. Gas inserts have grown in popularity because they are easy to use, have less wear and tear as they are not subject to sparks and embers and are warmer as they produce both convective heat and radiant heat, filling an entire room with warmth and not just the area near the fireplace.
